Downside House has been in our ownership for over 20 years. While Downside House is a business our philosophy has always been the same – for the business to be successful we must do the care well. This is our ethos. Care is paramount. In the 20 years we have effectively only had 2 managers – staff turnover is low and we have never used agency staff. Continuity is crucial in offering good care. We also fully endorse regulation and work proactively and positively with the Care Quality Commission, the IOWCC and all other agencies that form the regulatory framework. We are open and transparent. We are proud of our Care Home.
